Personal History
Raine was in love with Lt JG Daisha Waltas, daughter of retired Captain Tyr Waltas while they were on board the USS Discovery-C. When Daisha opted to follow her father and return to Ba'ku following the decommissioning of the Discovery, it broke Raine's heart and he begins to lapse into clinical depression, a condition he once battled many years ago.
