Raimor was born on Betazed to a very traditional family. His mother Acudra led the family for ninety years before her untimely death due to an unknown illness. This death in the family put significant stress on the family structure. Raimor attended his mother’s funeral rites on Betazed. During this time of morning, his older sister Alessa eloped with a human male and took his family name. This was a large blow to Raimor. His father disowned Alessa, forcing Raimor to cut contact with the sister he was the closest with, After returning to Starfleet Medical, his mentor Doctor Quanor had a personal meeting with him that reignited his passion for medicine. Raimor completed the rest of his studies without incident.
