Meranuge system is a planetary system of six planets. It is located in the Borderlands in the Beta Quadrant in territory between the Federation and the Klingon Empire. The system is home to the Da’al, a warp-capable species originating from Meranuge IV. The Da’al are independent and non-aligned. The system is in the neutral area, but is located nearer to the Klingon territory, closest approach to Qo'noS.[1][2]
Sun
The central star of the system, Meranuge, is a F5 type yellow-white dwarf.[3][4]
Planets
Meranuge IV

Meranuge IV, also known as Da’al, is the fourth planet of the Meranuge system. The planet is the homeworld of the Da'al, an independent warp-capable species and houses their capital Vdam. The surface of the planet is described as green and blue. It has land masses of various sizes, as well as oceans and smaller seas. The planet has rings.[5]
Other planets
Meranuge V rotates to the opposite direction than the other planets in the system.[3]
By the early 2390s, the Da'al had established a colony of 50 thousand residents in the system outside their homeworld.[6]
