Embassy of Duronis IIUSS Thor

Template:NewEmbassy

The Command Department comprises the commanding officer, executive officer and other associated staff. These are the officers who serve as leaders for the rest of their crews. Many start within one of the other divisions before working their way up to command, but all undergo intensive training before they don the red collar.

Embassy Facilities

Captain's Embassy Office

Captain's Embassy Office

Finding the Romulan's office too ornate and dark for her taste, Captain Turner had it redecorated to make it a light airy the space, and more inline with her minimalist taste. The office is located on the second floor, adjacent to Meeting Room A, where she holds briefings with her Senior Staff.

Executive Embassy Office

The First Officer's office is located on the second floor, near the Captain's office and Meeting Room A.

Ambassador's Office

The Ambassador's Office is located on the second floor of the embassy. The Office area actually incorporates a reception and secretarial area, a small private conference room, a turbolift and the actual Ambassadorial Office.

Strategic Operations Office

Strategic Operations Office

The Strategic Operations Officer's Office is located inside of the Embassy next to the Security Chief's Office to facilitate the sharing of information and coordination of personnel. The Strategic Operations Officer is responsible for coordinating the activities of Security, Tactical, and Marines for the Embassy.

Embassy Situation Room

The Situation Room is in actual fact two separate rooms: The Situation Briefing Room and the Situation Command Centre, located within the basement of the Embassy (along with the Intelligence Office, Chief of Strategic Operations' office, and the underground hangerbay).

Situation Briefing Room

All Senior staff have access to this area. Upon announcement that a major situation has developed, they will convene in this area for briefing. The Situation Room is set up for conferences with the commanding officers. Each seat is designed for comfort with the added feature of a small writing desk.

Situation Command Centre

Only selected officers with Beta Two security clearance have access to this room. This is the nerve center during any situation and it is here that command staff convene to receive advice during an emergency or major situation. A long rectangular room, with one entrance to the right of its head. In the center is a long rectangular conference table where each officer has an allocated seat. Unlike the average conference room, each seat has a built in computer console - similar to those on the bridge of a starship. Around the table and all the surrounding walls are countless computer display screens monitoring numerous activities.

When a situation develops each senior advisor arrives in the situation command center long before the ambassador. They gather their information and take their allocated seats at the table. The ambassador then arrives and takes his seat at the head of the table and will receive reports from each officer. Around the side of the room are lower ranked officers from the departments who gather the latest updates. Those with clearance to the command center are the Ambassador, the Deputy Chief of Mission, the Chief Intelligence Officer, the Chief of Security and the Strategic Operations Officer. Others may be granted access depending on the situation (eg. the Chief Medical Officer in the event of a biological attack).

USS Thunder-A Facilities

Captain's Ready Room

The Captain's Ready Room is the equivalent to an Office. Here, the Captain will take private messages and have one-to-one conferences with staff without impeding the duties of the other Bridge staff. This Office is perhaps one of the only places on board where the Commanding Officer can fully relax when on duty.

Captain's Ready Room

The Ready Room is roughly the same size as the Briefing Room on the leeward side of the bridge. It is located on the right side of the Bridge, the door nearest the captain's chair on the Bridge and is located on Deck One. There is no hallway between the main bridge and the Ready Room.

It is likely that most Officers on the vessel will never see the interior of the Captain's Ready Room. The room includes a desk, a small table, a couch, three windows and a replicator. The captain's desk is curved that has two adjacent chairs for visitors. To the immediate right of the captain's desk is another door, leading to an outside corridor allowing the captain to reach or leave her ready room without passing through the Bridge. To the left are two steps, leading to a seating which is dominated by a large window. The desk has LCARS terminal, enabling access to the ships main computer. One or more PADDs, providing access to all relevant data are usually scattered around.

Executive Office

ExecutiveOffice

The First Officer is the second most important Commanding Officer on board the USS Ronin and as such needs a place to reflect on issues that arise in service. The Office is the room where work can be conducted privately and the First Officer can decorate to his or her own requirements or desires.

Strategic Operations Office

The Strategic Operations Officer's Office is located on Deck 15 next to the Security Chief's Office to facilitate the sharing of information and coordination of personnel. The Strategic Operations Officer is responsible for coordinating the activities of Security, Tactical, and Marines for the Embassy.

The Briefing Room

The Briefing Room of the USS Thunder-A is the primary meeting place for the senior staff. In a comfortable atmosphere these officers can pool and exchange their thoughts and opinions on an upcoming mission to cultivate more productive ideas to a positive operation outcome.

Briefing Room

Via a large interactive display and holographic imagery any information necessary can efficiently be shared and discussed offering each department the possibility to see outside view of a missions details. This room is also used for small scale conferences or negotiations with alien representatives and is situated on the port side of the bridge. Other crewmembers are sometimes invited to these gatherings if they have something vital to share with the rest of the crew. The meetings are required to be chaired by the Captain or CO of the vessel. Where that is not possible, the FO should oversee all mission briefings.
