Personal History
Vegas is Vegas, even in the 24th century, and Jackson grew up around the casinos and the like of Sin City. That said, he had a pretty mundane childhood, distinguished mostly by the fact he absorbed much of his father's appreciation of the stars - something that led to his eventual application to Starfleet Academy.
