Formatting Your Sims The Veritas SIM format corresponds with that used in the academy and detailed in Tutorial #1. The differences between the Invicta and the rest of the fleet are detailed in this section. Subject LinesHere on the Veritas, we commonly use abbreviations to indicate a location at the beginning of a subject line. Common ones for our ship include [V] (for Veritas) and [SSE] (for Star Station Esperance). If an acronym for a planet doesn’t exist, we’d make it up and try to use it consistently throughout the mission. If you're the first one to sim in a certain location, be bold! Make up your own location header! If there are multiple scenes going on in one location, we add a three letter abbreviation to further specify where. For instance, [V-SIC] for the Veritas's sickbay or [V-ENG] for Main Engineering. A typical subject line for a sim on the Veritas will look like [Location Abbreviation] Character Rank and Name: Sim Title For example:
You do not need to specify if the character is an NPC, PNPC, or MSPNPC in the subject line. If a sim is particularly long or you are writing a joint post with someone else, split the sim into two parts and label them in the title:
No Tags in the Subject LineAboard Veritas, we do not list characters that are tagged for a response in the subject line. We refrain from doing so to encourage everyone to read each sim. You never know when you might want to tie in something that someone else has introduced in another scene, even if it isn't a direct tag for your character!
