Walkinium

Walkinium Ore is naturally found in the asteroid belt above the Wheeler Colony. Not much is known about this ore.

Physical Properties

One moment the ore may be solid and heavy, the next moment it can be porous and light. This is due to the ever changing nature of the ore. Parts of the ore go in and out of phase.

Due to the constant change going on inside the ore scanners have a hard time locking onto an object made of this ore.

Armor

Taking advantage of the properties of the ore, the Grendellai use it to cover their ship. This causes Starfleet great difficulty in targeting their ships accurately.

Comunication Inhibitor

The material is known to block communication signals if placed between the 2 relays. This makes outside communication while inside the asteroid field impossible.
