Avalon Sector

The Avalon Sector is a largely unexplored region on the border of the Delta Quadrant. Starfleet has sent USS Discovery-B on a exploratory mission. It's primary research station isDeep Space 285.

Following the resignation of Rear Admiral Michael Samuelson (Retired) after the trial of Capt. Tyr Waltas, Starfleet's assigned Rear Admiral Richard Hart as Avalon's Interim Commander.

Discovered Systems and Phenomenae

Genura

The Genura System has three massive class J, gas giants and 1 proto-planet. Genura III is a Minshara class inhabited planet.

Although it is a trinary star system, one star remains in a neutron state, allowing Genura III to develop into a M-Class planet in relatively recent cosmological time. Genura III's orbit is subject to massive gravitational stresses when it aligns between the two healthy twin stars.

Genura III's population is only four-thousand people who not under subject to the Prime Directive. It is unclear how Genura III evolved so quickly to possess interstellar warp-flight and subspace communications.

Aurix

This is a single star system Aurix II is a desert planet and a former Federation research colony. On stardate 23850704.24 Admiral Joh'qui sent USS Discovery to Aurix II after it ceased subspace communication. Aurix II's fate was apparently within the scope of involvement of the Q. Discovery away teams brought aboard one survivor, Annette Garrison.
