Nikael Kalre is a Betazoid and leader of the Maquis Reborn. A veteran of the Dominion War, he attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer while serving in Starfleet in the sciences division. After the war, he left the service in 2375 and returned with his wife, a Terran woman, to his hometown of Ohmallera, where he helped with the rebuilding efforts on his homeworld, which had been occupied by Dominion forces.
