Personal Achievements and Disappointments Achievements Ben's most proudest achievement was getting offered the job as test pilot for Starfleet's new fighters and shuttles. Earning his first campaign ribbon Disappointments Being involved with certain groups that stole and cheated others   Personnel File   Before Military Service Ben was born in San Francisco to two loving parents Neil & Martha Edwards on 234811.23 a nice early Christmas present. Over the first few years he hardly seen his parents he was looked after by a nanny. When he turned 3 his mother gave birth to his sister Lisa. The nanny stayed on to look after Lisa while Ben started schooling, he was sent to a private school that his father paid for. He stayed there only returning at weekends and holidays. He missed most of his sisters early days due to this. At the age of 5 his mother gave birth to his brother who he did not get to see for several weeks as when he came home his parents where off visiting. He was looked after by his old nanny who had now moved into their home now. The next several years just continued as the last his mother never had any more children. He was treated as the special outcast by his brother and sister as they never attend a fancy school. He went through senior school getting very good grades in his studies and excellent ones in his mechanical studies. He planned to try join an independent shipping company as an engineer and work his way up to captain one day. After he left school he did join an independent company but it was not the sort he expected. He got the job as an engineer on an old transport ship or so he thought it turned out that most of the time they were smuggling people and goods from outlaying systems. After being on the ship for a few month he started to get let in on some of the sneaky dealings. He found out that the crew extorted and robbed planets that had not even learned to fly never mind travel through space. He always sent some of his illegal earnings back to his family in the way of gifts. Over the next few years he started to build up the chain on the ship and had managed to make it up to the helm officers and second officer after the last got killed in a bad robbery. He now starting to get a name in the underworld of crime. He was also wanted on several planets. On his 27th birthday he was arrested and put on trial back on earth. His father heard this and with help of his friend managed to get him off the hook of a sorts. He was given two chooses either 6 years at a penal colony or join and take the Marine Officers test. He was basically told by his father to take the marine path because he could get out after a year if he liked. He also told him that he would not do this again so if he went back to crime he was on his own. So after the hearing he spent a week with his family catching up with them. The following week he entered the Marine HQ and sat the test and passed it. He was then put through basic training which he passed as well. After Joining Starfleet/Marines Ben join Starfleet Marine Corps on stardate 238806.28 as a 2nd Lieutenant after passing the officers exam. He was posted to Earth Marine HQ as a shuttle pilot at first he had no real care to progress an higher. After a couple of month he started to enjoy this life better than what he had before. He had made some friends and had a few girlfriends. After helping an senior officer out the officer gave him a choose to join a starship. After thinking about it he agree. Later that day he was assigned to the USS Avandar and promoted to 1st Lieutenant on stardate 238810.24 he still did the same job ferrying marines around when need and maintaining the equipment. He remained on the ship till he was ordered to Starbase 118 as the Avandar was in no need of his presence due to other being able to complete his task. He arrived on Starbase 118 on stardate 238902.30 continued his role within the marines. He apply for several jobs with the fighter squads on the base but was never aceppeted, Though his efforts did not go unnoticed. On stardate 238906.28 was promoted to the rank of Marine Captain after passing his exams with flying colors. He was transferred to earth to work in a classified location as a test pilot on stardate 239006.15. While he was there he made some friends and tested out several new toys. He had the chance to test out the new Valkyrie Class Mark II Fighter and after the tests where completed he would go with them to the first ship. On stardate 239012.20 he was due to transferred to the USS Apollo as aback up pilot and maintenance officer but was sent to Marine headquarters on earth for his final exam for his promotion to Major. While there he was caught up in an accident which he suffered night blindness, the doctors informed him that he would no-longer be able to pilot a fighter. He then transferred to Starfleet security pending a new position within the fleet. The week before he left he had started to get some stronger feelings of friendship towards he and was a bit scared to tell her as he know he was transferring to the Apollo.
