Peerage was a system of titles of honor on Duronis II before the Great Revolution. The term can be used to refer to the entire body of titles in a collective sense, or to a specific title.

Possessing a title of peerage (such as Earl or Baron) allows one a position of power, but does not allow one to claim noble birth. In most cases, peerage does bestow limited wealth and power, depending on the length of one's actual time as a "ruler" of a given county or barony. A title of peerage does not extend to one's family.

Ranks of Peerage

The ranks of peerage are as follows (in descending order):

  • Earl / Countess
  • Baron / Baronnes
  • Marquess / Marchioness
  • Knight (Sir) / (Dame)
