He started on the Aurora with a small SAR team him plus 4 others but when transferred to the Avandar the team increased to 20 plus marines in all different fields from SAR to Sepc ops, Fighter pilots and he was the detachment commander. After getting back on his feet rather than returning to the marines he was transferred to Ops as the Operations Officer. He is also a master in polearms and always carries his retractable one with him. And another new crew member was cited for his care and attention he gives to the act of mentoring his fellow officers, and clearly showing in the forms that he makes and the emails he sends to those who benefit from his expertise. Under his management, the mentors on the Embassy/Thunder will surely not be letting anyone needing help fall through the cracks. The 2015 Pathfinder Award goes to Major Ben Edwards. Despite personal difficulties and the stresses of real life, he sets a good example for other officers, and proves the quality and effectiveness of his worth within the UFOP: Starbase 118 group.
