Acamarian Society

The Acamarians have strongly divided clan structures and membership in one is of extreme social and political importance but for the past century, they have enjoyed peace, except for the nomadic marauding Gatherers. This peace was finally forged a century ago after generations of bloody clan wars. Income taxes and plenty of police bureaucracy are standard fare for Acamarians.

Physical Appearance

They also have a slight cleft in their forehead and often display individualized facial tattooing. A humanoid race who are mostly like Terrans except their blood is a iron/copper composite unique to Acamarians.

Technology Level

Their technology is relatively advanced. Their science is advanced enough to download data to the U.S.S. Enterprise by subspace link.

Encounter

In 2266, the latest formation of the Acamarian Government held peaceful negotians concerning the majority of the planets clan system, joining them together finally to end the several hundred years of clan rivally and civil war. Refusing to be part of the Acamarian Governments peaceful settlement, the Gatherers, a mixture of break-off clans formed together to live off-world, resorting to acts of piracy and raids on nearby Outposts around Acamar II.

On stardate 43421.9, the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D encountered the Acamarian Sovereign Marouk and were able to offer their assistance in bringing the Gatherers back into society. Mediated by Captain Jean-Luc Picard, the Gatherers began to re-enter Acamar III.
