The most studied system in the sector, due to the presence of three terraformed human colonies. KG is a planetary system consisting of 11 planets orbiting a G-type star.
- Analysis of planets:
- KG1 = Class J
- KG2 = Class A, Metal rich, suitable for mining operation (Ehrud Survey, 2377)
- KG3 = Class M, Inhabited by Human colony
- KG4 = Class 0, Inhabited by Human colony
- KG5 = Class L, Inhabited by Human colony
- KG6 = Class P, Metal rich, suitable for mining operation
- KG7 = Class P
- KG8 = Class B, 12 satellites (Vulcan survey, 2351)
- KG9 = Class B
- KG10 = Class H
- KG11 = Class I
Other than it's mineral rich planets and unusually large number of planets the Kalvar Gate is a relatively unremarkable planetary system.
