Major Geopolitical Events 2400: The Lattice Alliance lays claim to most of the Alpha Isles, effectively declaring war on the Federation. 2401: The Federation is attacked by the Borg Collective during the 250th Frontier Day celebrations 2400 | 2401 Edit nav 2400 240002.11 – USS Excalibur-A is transferred to the Tholian border. The senior staff other than Commodore Kalianna Nicholotti are transferred to USS Doyle-A, renamed USS Artemis-A and relaunched under the command of Commander Addison MacKenzie. 240003.23 – A diplomatic conference is held on the Amity Outpost between the Federation and the Hirogen following a joint wargame. 240007.18 – Alora DeVeau is promoted to Commander. 240009.03 – Addison MacKenzie is promoted to Captain. 240009.12 – Denali Invitational is held by the Denali Station. The racers and the audience began to arrive on this date, and the racing began on 240009.19. 240009.20 – USS Ronin is relaunched under the command of Commander Karrod Niac and joins the USS Arrow in the Alpha Isles. 240010.06 – Ships from an alternate universe cross into the Prime Universe, causing the first known contact between the Federation and the Shint. In the brief conflict that followed, the Shint vessel is destroyed by USS Artemis-A. 240011.28 – The Lattice Alliance lays claim to most of the Alpha Isles, effectively declaring war on the Federation. 2401 240102.07 – USS Octavia E Butler is launched and joins Gamma Flotilla Expeditionary Task Force under the command of Commander Lia Rouiancet. Much of the crew of the USS Oumuamua transfers to the USS Octavia E Butler. 240104.16 – Karrod Niac is promoted to Captain. 240104.23 – USS Arrow is stolen by her former CO, Captain Shondra Carpenter. The current crew of the Arrow, commanded by Captain Randal Shayne, employ the services of USS Khitomer in order to restore their ship. 240105.13 – Gogigobo Fairhug is promoted to Commander. 240106 – Frontier Day · Prelude: Some ships and stations, including USS Artemis-A, USS Astraeus, USS Kitty Hawk and Amity Outpost discover Changeling infiltrators among their crews. The Artemis, together with some of the crew of the Amity Outpost, also find a Borg Cube carrying the Queen in the Badlands. Most of Starfleet and the Federation remain oblivious to these encounters. 240106.30 – USS Arrow is destroyed after intentionally set to collide with a Sheliak dreadnought by the order of Lt Commander Nolen Hobart soon after the crew regaining control of the stolen ship. Most people aboard were evacuated to USS Khitomer before the destruction of the Arrow. 240107.13 – USS Chin'toka is relaunched under the command of Commander Serala. Having been under repair at San Francisco Fleet Yards for almost two years, the ship joins in the investigation of Changeling and Borg activities before the Frontier Day. 240107.15 – Frontier Day · Battle of Frontier Day: The Borg Collective launch the long prepared surprise attack against the Federation fleet gathered in Earth's orbit for Frontier Day celebrations. The Collective quickly assimilates younger members of Starfleet and gains control of the ships. The Battle of Frontier Day begins. 240107.29 – Toryn Raga is promoted to Commander. 240108.02 – Frontier Day · Lattice Invasion: Starfleet units near the Tholian border learn that the Lattice Alliance is planning an attack under the distraction of the Battle of Frontier Day. 240108.17 – Frontier Day · Battle of Frontier Day: Admiral Picard and the USS Enterprise-D defeat the Borg Queen. Assimilated Starfleet personnel stand down. The Battle of Frontier Day ends with the decisive Federation victory. 240109.30 – Addison MacKenzie is promoted to Fleet Captain. 240110.10 – The newly appointed sector commander Commodore Sal Taybrim appoints Commander Gogigobo Fairhug his successor as the commanding officer of StarBase 118 Ops.
