*Alix Harford graduated highschool from '''Texas Acredited Vocational School''', a high school / college dual enrollment program. She attended the school on a basketball scholarship. Attending the vocational school allowed her to graduate high school with an undergraduate degree in biology and attend medical school fresh out of college.

*Alix worked for a year as a trauma surgeon at the ''' Central Texas Trauma and Rehabilitation Center''' where her own life threatening injuries had been treated years earlier. She quickly grew bored and decided ti join Starfleet for the challenge of practicing medicine on the frontier of Space Exploration.

*Having joined Starfleet with a backgroun in medicine allowed Alix to diversify her studies at Starfleet Academy where she focused on xenobiology, xenozoology and chemistry. She earned dual certifications from Starfleet in Medicine and Science.
