Ithe Xao is a Bajoran and a Vedek of the Prophets. Born to a farming family and the sixth of eight children, she was taught about her people and their faith from a very young age. While the other siblings sought paths either in the same footsteps as their parents or in other careers, Xao felt called to a life of spirituality. She entered into the service of the temple and dedicated her life to serving the Prophets. She rose through the ranks and was eventually installed as a Vedek in 2392.
