Type 11 Shuttlecraft
A far more streamlined design than the type-9, one of the most recent addition to Starfleet's array of shuttlecraft. Based on a runabout's design, the Type-11 is twice the size of the Type-9, boasting a dorsal docking clamp and airlock. Type-11s are more heavily armed and shielded than the older shuttlecraft. It also is equipped with a transporter.

Argo-class Shuttlecraft
The Argo Class Shuttle is one of the newest class of shuttle in the Federation, This shuttle is known to be one of the marines favourites. The Argo was designed with recessed warp nacelles and fold-down wings. These wings were designed to assist in atmospheric maneuverability. The shuttle was equipped with an all-terrain buggy that could transport up to three passengers over rugged terrain. The buggy was secured aboard the shuttle's cargo hold via wheel clamps. The shuttlecraft could also be remote controlled from a device on the buggy.

The Danube features a front cabin for the crew of pilot, co-pilot/navigator and two mission specialists. A two person transporter is at the rear of the cabin, with swappable mission modules aft of this. The modular nature of the Danube allows it to be configured for missions such as personnel transport, cargo transport, scientific research, tactical, medical, etc.

The Type-11 shuttle, designed by the crew of the Enterprise, is a modular design that allows production with minimal extra parts straight from a ship's replicator system. It has a cockpit cabin which is separated from the rest of the interior and a docking port above the passenger compartment behind the cockpit. It is armed with three light phaser arrays and a pair of micro-photon torpedo launchers. Aboard the Ronin, Type-11's are traditionally named after the sites of famous battles.

Volga-class Runabout
Developed as a complement to the larger Arrow-class, the Volga-class runabout represents a compromise between providing smaller Starfleet vessels with long-range runabout support and the limited shuttlebay space which is usually available on such ships. Smaller than the type-11 shuttle, the Volga is classified as a runabout due to its ability to independently sustain a crew for a longer period of time and at a longer range.

While large runabouts serve a valued purpose in supporting massive exploration cruisers and starbases, the limited space and maintenance facilities available on smaller starships have kept them from widespread use as auxiliary craft. The Volga-class represents an effort to remove that barrier.

Peregrine-class Attack Fighter
The Peregrine Fighter was Starfleet's first attempt at a heavy fighter design. It was developed in 2367 and designed to help in fleet actions by causing the enemy vessels to split their fire amongst multiple targets, whilst delivering a powerful punch itself. Capable of a top cruise speed of warp 4.5 it has a similar speed to that of a Valkyrie, allowing it to operate short distances away from its homebase or carrier vessel. However, it is common practice for these vessels to be used at impulse.

Although these ships come in several different models, Starfleet uses the two-man heavy fighter variant. This design has two type U+ pulse phaser cannons as well as the type IV phaser. Optionally six full-sized photon/quantum torpedoes may be used in addition to this - although this has an adverse effect on the ships maneuverability.

These are the latest additions to the compliment of auxiliary craft for the Ronin. Smaller and more agile, Valkyrie class ships will be used for a variety of missions, from planetary assault to spacecraft interdiction. Unlike the Peregrine, the Valkyrie class is intended to be used in small groups, where a local shield can be projected and shared by the fighters during an attack run. Each small ship contributes a portion of its resources to the group shield, thereby savings power to divert to weapons and repair systems.

The Type-18 shuttle was designed to function in battle situations and could even be used as an escape vehicle should the need arise.  Lacking a warp core, the pod is a poor choice for travel beyond several million kilometers. Aboard the Ronin, Type 18's are traditionally named after big cats of Earth;
Since the Ronin has several Peregrines already they only have a complement of 5 Valkyries

Workbees
The "Workbee", or more accurately a cargo management unit (or CMU), is a small utility craft in use by the Federation from the mid-23rd century onwards. The CMU is a single-occupant vehicle with seating for the pilot only. Generally, the pilot needs to be spacesuited, especially if the pilot is planning to perform a space walk. The front of the CMU features several large windows. The craft also has a large headlight at its extreme forward end for illuminating a work area.

Danube Class Runabouts
As the CMU is primarily a maintenance craft, it can be equipped with a variety of tools, including a set of dual remote manipulator arms called the Grabber Sled. The CMU can also serve as a tug for cargo modules with the Cargo-Train Attachment.

The Danube Class was first commissioned by Starfleet in 2369 for use as a light multipurpose craft in situations that demanded a vessel more powerful than a standard shuttlecraft, but lower profile than a full-sized starship. With this flexibility, a Runabout can be utilized as a long-range personnel/cargo transport, an agile mobile defense platform, or a high-speed reconnaissance vehicle.
The CMU can operate both in the vacuum of space and within the atmospheric and gravitational conditions of a starship cargo bay or planetary surface.

Ideally, a Runabout is piloted by two crewmembers, although one pilot will suffice. The bridge can accommodate up to four people. Small square viewscreens mounted within the forward corners of the cabin are used for video communication and ship status displays. In the center of the vessel lies a food replicator and a compact personnel transporter. The transporter is powerful enough to transport multiple personnel at once.

The rear of the craft can be configured as a large crew cabin complete with sleeping and dining areas for extended travel. This area can also be used as a cargo bay. The Runabout is equipped with at least one manual escape hatch located near the front side of the craft.
The USS Ronin has a complement of seven Workbees, named:

*Kambei
The innovative feature that made the Runabout possible is its compact high-performance warp propulsion system. A Runabout is capable of traveling at up to Warp 8. The Runabout is also equipped with an aft tractor beam emitter strong enough to tow a Cardassian Galor Class warship.
*Gorōbei

*Kyūzō
The Runabout's highly modular platform allows easy configuration for a multitude of missions. Two such modules are the mission module and sensor pod. For defense, the Runabout is armed with phasers and micro-torpedoes. The micro-torpedo launcher assembly is accessible via a hatch on the floor of the forward cabin. The three Runabouts assigned to the Ronin are the USS Wye, the USS Rio Grande and the USS Tanaro, the first named after a river in Wales, the second a river in Colorado and the third a river in Italy.

*Aboard the Ronin, Type M-1 Sphinx Workpods are traditionally named after famous inventors; In 1876, at the age of 29, Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone. John Logie Baird is remembered as the inventor of mechanical television (an earlier version of television). Baird also patented inventions related to radar and fiber optics.

The Type M-1 Sphinx Workpod is a light industrial manipulator with room for two.  Powered by one micro-fusion reactor, four Alfinium Krellide power storage cells and four RCS thrusters, the Sphinx Workpod is used mainly as an Engineering shuttle to repair anything on the outside of the ship.

Along with the Work Bee, the various Sphinx Workpod types are a common sight in any large Federation shipbuilding facility.  Intended to never be far from its parent facility, the Workpod was designed to allow greater use of hands-on control of the various functions involved with day-to-day construction and repair.  With more tools than the Work Bee, the Sphinx M-1A and M-2A are used primarily to manipulate spaceborne hardware during construction.  The Sphinx MT-3D is a third variant of this robust design and can be used for towing objects to and from the construction site. Furthermore, a group of MT-3D units can work together to tow larger objects into place including most starship classes when large tractor emitters are not an option.  All three variants utilize the same basic systems and are small enough to fit inside of a Type 9A Cargo Shuttlecraft.  All variants of the Sphinx Workpod are commonly found at Federation fleet yards and starbases, as well as on larger Starfleet vessels.

Argo shuttle.jpg

Peregrinefighters.jpg

  • Production Base: ASDB Integration Facility, Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards, Mars
  • Accommodation: Up to 40 passengers
  • Dimensions:
    • Length: 18 meters
    • Beam: 17.5 meters
    • Height: 5.82 meters
  • Performance: Warp 4 (cruising), Warp 4.5 (maximum), Warp 6.1 (for 6hrs)
  • Armament: Two Micro-Torpedo Launchers, Ten Micro-Quantum Torpedoes, Type IV Phaser Array, Two Type U+ Micro-Pulse

The USS Ronin has a complement of five of these fighters.

Valkyrie Mk-1 Attack Fighter

Valkyrie.jpg
  • Production Base: ASDB Integration Facility, Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards, Mars
  • Accommodation: Two (pilot and operations manager); may be piloted single seat
  • Dimensions:
    • Length: 20 meters
    • Beam: 14 meters
    • Height: 5 meters
  • Mass: 120 metric tons
  • Performance: Thrusters only
  • Armament: Two type-6 phaser emitters, One micro-torpedo launch system, Two standard photon or quantum torpedoes mounted under the fuselage.

Since the Ronin has several Peregrines already they only have a complement of 5 Valkyries

Workbees

Workbee small.jpg

The "Workbee", or more accurately a cargo management unit (or CMU), is a small utility craft in use by the Federation from the mid-23rd century onwards. The CMU is a single-occupant vehicle with seating for the pilot only. Generally, the pilot needs to be spacesuited, especially if the pilot is planning to perform a space walk. The front of the CMU features several large windows. The craft also has a large headlight at its extreme forward end for illuminating a work area.

As the CMU is primarily a maintenance craft, it can be equipped with a variety of tools, including a set of dual remote manipulator arms called the Grabber Sled. The CMU can also serve as a tug for cargo modules with the Cargo-Train Attachment.

The CMU can operate both in the vacuum of space and within the atmospheric and gravitational conditions of a starship cargo bay or planetary surface.
