Writing time aboard the Veritas is divided into two major blocks: missions and shore leave. Missions involve one or more central objectives and generally take place aboard the Veritas and associated ships, planets, etc. Missions are generally six weeks in length, though this may vary!

Between each mission, the Veritas crew has about two to three weeks of shore leave, though again this may vary. During shore leave, there is no central plot and no general objective (or at most, a low-key "routine" mission that stays in the background) and is instead a great time for character development, individual character subplots, and smaller "B-plot" type stories going all at once.

To use on-screen Trek examples, missions are plot-focused stories like "The Best of Both Worlds" (TNG), "Children of Time" (DS9), and "Timeless" (VOY). Shore leaves are akin to character-focused episodes like "Family" (TNG), "You Are Cordially Invited" (DS9), and "Someone to Watch Over Me" (VOY).

Year 1 (2393-2394)

The Forgotten Land 1x01 - Mission 1: Stardate 239311-239402 After a Starfleet captain is killed, Captain Roshanara Rahman reunites her former shipmates to head to the Shoals and find answers.

Rag and Bone 1x02 - Mission 2: Stardate 239403-239405 The crew of the Veritas must stop an abandoned freighter caught in a tetryon storm and carrying hazardous materials from crashing into a planet home to a pre-warp civilization.

Aftershock 1x03 - Mission 3: Stardate 239407-239409 After the capital of the Colonial Coalition is rocked by a terrorist attack, Veritas crew deals with the aftermath and discovers deep divisions that threaten to tear the colony apart.

The Mother Road 1x04 - Mission 4: Stardate 239410-239412 As two Veritas teams prepare for a friendly competition to test their new retrofitted shuttles on the proving grounds of the Mother Road, an investigation begins on a derelict way station when stores of the addictive narcotic felicium are found hidden behind its bulkheads.

Year 2 (2395)

The Irresistible Prize 2x01 - Mission 5: Stardate 239501-239503 When the USS Astraeus, a refitted Galaxy class starship on an unauthorized shakedown cruise through the Shoals, finds herself trapped in the Shoals and unable to form a stable warp field, the Veritas crew must reach and rescue the ship before pirates get to the stranded vessel first.

Kallo Ver & The Hunt for the Lost Romulan Treasure Fleet 2x02 - Mission 6: Stardate 239504-239505 On the hunt for a legendary treasure fleet's supposed final resting place within the Shoals, smuggler and part-time adventurer Kallo Ver enlists the help of the USS Veritas crew in his quest while outrunning competing treasure seekers and those looking to collect on his debts.

The Omega Paradox 2x03 - Mission 7: Stardate 239506-239507 The crew of the Veritas investigates a Borg sighting and finds themselves transported back in time through a subspace conduit, only to find a drone on their ship along with Omega particles.

Hope Lost 2x04 - Mission 8: Stardate 239509-239510 The Veritas receives orders to help the colonists at Havley's Hope search for a group of missing miners.

Flashpoint 2x05 - Mission 9: Stardate 239511-239512 After the Tholians destroy Astrofori One in the Menthar Corridor, the crews of the USS Veritas and USS Montreal must prevent all-out war from breaking out between the Federation and the Tholians over a Starfleet cargo vessel left adrift in Tholian territory carrying classified equipment.

Year 3 (2396)

Limbo 3x01 - Shore Leave: Stardate 239512-239601 When sabotage hits the USS Veritas, the crew is forced to abandon ship and seek refuge on an uninhabited moon.

Dawn 3x02 - Mission 10: Stardate 239601-239602 Four months since being stranded on an M-class moon, the Veritas crew embark on a bold plan to get back to their ship and rescue themselves.

Home 3x03 - Shore Leave: Stardate 239602 While Veritas is repaired, the crew returns home, some to families and loved ones while others fight to be reunited with theirs.

Sentinel 3x04 - Mission 11: Stardate 239603-239604 With tensions still high after the destruction of Astrofori One, Veritas is sent back to the Menthar Corridor to investigate the sudden disappearance of a Tholian fleet.

Play the Part 3x05 - Shore Leave: Stardate 239605 The Veritas crew investigates a mysterious stasis box, while Ghant Xerix and Wil Ukinix head to Betazed and soon find themselves caught up in the drama of the Noble Houses. Meanwhile, with the captain's life at stake, Geoffrey Teller is forced to continue the saga of Silas Finley.

The First Colony 3x06 - Mission 12: Stardate 239606-08 Veritas investigates the murder of a Starfleet officer on Ketar V, where tensions have been rising between the growing Romulan refugee population and the original Federation settlers of the colony.

Tour de Ketar V 3x07 - Shore Leave: Stardate 239608-09 The Veritas crew spend shore leave helping the colonists and refugees of Ketar V, while also enjoying the local hospitality.

Charybdis 3x08 - Mission 13: Stardate 239609-11 With a class of schoolchildren aboard on a field trip during a regional starship race, Veritas falls through a hidden wormhole into a pocket of seemingly empty subspace only to discover that they may not be alone.

Lost and Found 3x09 - Shore Leave: Stardate 239611-12 As Franz Teller begins his trip home to reunite with his family, an unexpected visit from a Betazoid noble provides Veritas an opportunity to host a formal reception dinner, and a team of Elf-gineers leave delightful surprises for the whole crew.

Year 4 (2397)

E Pluribus Unum 4x01 - Mission 14: Stardate 239701-239702 Federation Security of the Exterior Lily Ventu arrives on Ketar V to help mediate talks between the Romulan refugee community and the native colonists as they work on a plan forward for the troubled First Colony.

Nadira 4x02 - Shore Leave: Stardate 239702-239703 (concurrent with "Free Flight") After Veritas travels to Cait, the crew enjoy some fresh air out of the Shoals. Captain Roshanara Rahman finally visits her species' homeworld, finding herself the possible answer to a decades-long mystery.

Free Flight 4x03 - Mission 15: Stardate 239703-239704 (concurrent with "Nadira") With Rahman away, acting captain Jansen Orrey leads the Veritas crew on a mission to investigate a rogue planet before it slips away into subspace.

Pirates of the Quantum Realms 4x04 - Mission 16: Stardate 239705-239706 After a series of brazen pirate attacks, Veritas is tasked to find the perpetrators who seemingly vanish each time they're about to be caught.

Forever and Always 4x05 - Shore Leave: Stardate 239707-239708 The crew prepare for the wedding of Raissa Moonsong and Jansen Orrey.

Heartbeat 4x06 - Mission 17: Stardate 239708-239709 Sky Blake commands Veritas as the ship investigates a Tholian station that has drifted across the silent border.

Home Is Where the Heart Is 4x07 - Shore Leave: Stardate 239709-239710 The crew take a brief reprieve on Kidman I. Meanwhile, Wil Ukinix returns to Betazed with Captain Rahman to investigate a psionic terrorist attack.

Wandering Star 4x08 - Mission 18: Stardate 239710-239711 While studying a protostar nebula, Veritas gets a distress call from another ship that has crashed on a large asteroid, which the crew discovers is home to the remnants of a lost civilization.

Year 5 (2398)

Here Kitty Kitty 5x01 - Mission 19: Stardate 239801-239802 While the Battle of the Bands is underway on the idyllic farming community of Donova IV, the criminal organization known as the Cobalt Clan which runs the colony behind the scenes uses the musical event as a front for the illegal exotic animal trade. Animal rights activist Maria Chicchoni is on a mission to put a stop to the trade, with her top nemesis being Gorgeous George, a rock star and showman who uses exotic animals, particularly big cats, in his shows. However, Chicchoni’s methods are even more ruthless than the cats she’s trying to save.

Reunion 5x02 - Shore Leave: Stardate 239802 As the Veritas crew complete remaining tasks to assist the colonists of Donova IV, several unexpected arrivals to the ship reunite a few officers with their past.

Chasing Shadows 5x03 - Mission 20: Stardate 239804-239805 Veritas is tasked with transporting a high value prisoner, Kallo Ver, from Klingon territory and through the Shadows to Esperance, but a Klingon revolutionary and her cartel allies have other plans.

Endeavour 5x04 - Mission 21: Stardate 239806-239807 While docked at Esperance, Captain Rahman takes several officers on an expedition to investigate a 250-year-old mystery.

Loopy 5x05 - Mission 22: Stardate 239806-239807 While docked at Esperance, the USS Veritas, under the command of Lieutenant Commander Wil Ukinix, is called away to deal with an issue at “Walhalla Lock”.

Fissure 5x06 - Mission 23: Stardate 239807-239808 Amidst the backdrop of political division on Antor II, the crew of the USS Veritas works to rescue a group of miners trapped deep underground in a complex river cave system after an earthquake triggers a rockfall.
