Renaaran

Renaarans are the native inhabitants of the Renaaran Sector. The word Renaaran refers to both native inhabitants of the sector and naturalized citizens.

While the term Renaaran technically refers to all inhabitants of the Renaaran sector, in practice it is generally used to refer to the near-Human inhabitants of Renaar. Near-Human Renaarans can be identified through a genetics test.

Renaarans were among the first human societies to develop warp-capable starships, and are well known for their skills as pilots, scouts, and shipbuilders. Renaaran spacers are often stereotyped as brash risk-takers. This stereotype has a ring of truth, as many well known smugglers and gamblers are Renaarans.

Renaarans have a strong military tradition. Many Renaarans serve in the Renaaran Security Force, or in galactic-level military organizations such as the Valcarian Republic Navy or the Valcarian Imperial Navy.
