General Awards Ribbon Name of Award Recipient Citation Stardate (If Any) 2392 -- Gorkon Awards Pathfinder Award Chythar Skyfire Our last award of the year, and I'm very happy to present it to Lieutenant Commander Chythar Skyfire. Zephyr, you've always shown huge enthusiasm and dedication when it comes to mentoring our new members, displaying a great deal of kindness and patience in helping them feel at home as part of the Gorkon's crew. We all remember being new once, and we all know how daunting it can be to join a group of 12 or so other people, so I'm incredibly thankful for all your hard work in this area. Congratulations! 239212.30 2391 -- Garuda Awards 1 Year Member Chythar Skyfire Graduated from training on 02/17/2013. Fleet Award Note: This award wasn't given out prior to 2392. 239201.01 (Retroactively goes here) Neelix Award Chythar Skyfire Most times, players are nominated only once for a given award. Sometimes, if a player has been particularly active -- in playing a particular duty post, say -- then she or he might receive two nominations for the same award. But never before have I seen one player receive six nominations for the same award! In fact, they weren't so much nominations as they were requirements at the end: there was so much consensus here that there was no way Zephyr wouldn't receive this award. Her nominators noted her active participation related to all facets of this award, from keeping the Garuda's and the Victory's wiki pages up to date to acting as the unofficial welcome wagon for the whole SB118, and I'd like to note here, too, that I've rarely seen someone become so integral. Zephyr has become more than the welcome wagon for the group -- she's our unofficial face, and we couldn't ask for a better one. Congratulations, Zephyr! 239112.19 2390 -- Excalibur Awards Genesis Award Chythar Skyfire The writer behind our very own Chythar Skyfire came to us as so many officers do; having the basics, but needing some guidance in certain aspects of simming. For those who have been around since he came aboard, the improvement in his sims is something you can’t help but notice. Having worked hard with mentors and command staff, Skyfire’s writer has gone from the basic, minimally structured sims, to characterized sims that really make him part of our storyline. The effort behind this accomplishment has not gone unnoticed, consisting of lots of writing, rewriting, critiques, and questions, and so, I am proud to present the Genesis Badge to Mister Skyfire! Congrats! Thank you for the hard work you’ve put in to making your simming more fun and inspiring for everyone who gets the chance to read it. 239012.19 Special Awards Ribbon Name of Award Recipient Citation Stardate 2392 Fleetwide Ceremony Sarpeidon Award Chythar Skyfire We all love our wiki! It's a fantastic resource for characters, ships and the past history of the group and useful for members both old and new. Lt. Commander Chythar Skyfire (and his writer, Zephyr) is one of our most active contributors, updating ship, mission and character pages. Not only that, but she often acts as a tutor to other members, helping and teaching them how to incorporate changes from the simple to the complex -- indeed many of the nominations we received were from her grateful students. They must participate for a minimum of two podcasts to be eligible for this badge. 2391-5 Podcast 2392-2 Memories of Spock Tribute 2392-3 Banned from Menthar 239212 Featured Bio Winner (2nd Citation) Cadfael Peters Hailing from Shrewsbury, England, on Earth, Cadfael Peters isn't one for formal dress parties though he enjoys a good drink or two. Peters kept to himself at Starfleet Academy and hasn't shared much of his background with anyone since he's been in the fleet. He did get to know a future colleague Ayiana Sevo through the Cadet Cultural Exchange Subspace Friend program, but it wasn't until they were both assigned to the USS Victory that he met her. Peters suffered ear trauma and hearing loss early on in his career, and he has since been treated with the EARS implant, a medical device analogous to the VISOR that restored his hearing. An engineer through and through, he worked his way up to the chief's position on the Victory before being assigned to the USS Darwin-A and his current posting aboard StarBase 118 Ops. 239208 Excellence in Training Badge Chythar Skyfire Awarded to a person who has completed the requirements to become a certified training officer. 239207.13 Graphics Contest Runner Up Chythar Skyfire Summer 2392 Graphics Contest Entry 239206.30 2391 Featured Bio Contest Team Member Chythar Skyfire Participated in 3 or more rounds of the Featured Bio Contest 239112 Featured Bio Winner Chythar Skyfire Lieutenant JG Chythar Skyfire is a medical officer aboard the USS Excalibur-A. He is passionate about science and languages. Although he serves as a Starfleet officer, he has mixed feelings towards the organisation as he feels it robbed him of time with his mother, who died while on assignment with them. Since joining the fleet in 2390, he has also served aboard StarBase 118 Ops. In his spare time, he can often be found making chainmail or reading in his quarters, although he also enjoys conversations with his crew mates. His best friend, Sal Taybrim, serves aboard the USS Darwin-A. His middle name, Daniel, has earned him the nickname "CD". 239102
