|LOG=It is with great trepidation that I leave the only ship I have known as a Starfleet officer. The ''Darwin'' and Captain [[Reinard, Greir|Reinard]] were extremely good to me. I found myself a wet behind the ears Ensign when I arrived at the Darwin and found myself leaving as the Chief Medical Officer and a Lieutenant. I was deeply going to miss that ship. However, I don't find myself fearing the change. I am going to the Columbia as the CMO walking in as the man in charge of the department. I know what is expected of me ((thanks to the Darwin)) and I will not let my new Captain down nor that of the crew of the Columbia.

Talking about the new Captain, I have heard it is his first command and that he was the XO of the Excalibur. I also heard that he is a good man and I look forward to serving under him.

Also talking about XOs Lt. Commander Thomas the XO of the Darwin is now the Chief Engineer of the Columbia. Was he demoted? or was it something he wanted? I will have to go check up on him as soon as I can once I get settled into the Columbia. I really did not get to know the Commander when I was on the Darwin although worked with him a few times. Perhaps I really need to make the effort to get to know him as a person and not just the XO or in this case the Chief.
Chief. Darn it. I am going to miss my friend Chief James. I hear he is now the XO of the Excalibur, I am sure he will do a fine job. Also Dr. Margariti was assigned to the Excalibur. I know I only worked with her a few missions but I rather liked her both personally and professionally. The Excalibur has gotten a great medical officer in Clio.
Good new however is that the Brice's are also assigned to the Columbia. I have said so before in my personal logs but I will say so again that Karynn Brice is one fine officer. I really should take the time to get to know her husband. They are also due with child, which I am going to have to see to that now as the only current medical officer on the Columbia. Another reason to miss Clio.

At least I am finally going to get that drink with Sal Taybrim. I look forward to working with him again. I like the man. I am not sure the feeling is mutual. I tend to be a bit much for those telepaths. Just ask Commander Brice. Hmm. Remind myself to stop touching her. Uh..that sounds bad. Luckily this is a personal log and I don't have to explain my words to anyone. I will be arriving on the Columbia today.

|LOG=I am not sure who's hair-brained idea it was to have every crew member report for physicals before reporting for duty. Sure it's probably a good idea on paper but the reality of it is that the medical staff is pushed to the very limits of sanity as they try to get them all done.

I thought trying to get through the 200 on the Darwin was ridiculous. The 750 of the Columbia is just about impossible and down right insane.

So needless to say I am glad to report the worse is now over. It is only the stragglers now coming in and of course those that seem to think they are above such rules. Yes this includes most of the senior staff.

Honestly I am not surprised. They probably are just as busy as I am. Getting this old bird ready for flight is probably taking some work. I think she is a fine ship however and I rather like the sickbay layout and structure. I also like how it is dead set in the heart of the large saucer section, it seems like the engine noise is actually a bit quieter here.

Talking about engine noise I need to pay a visit to my old XO and now Chief Engineer. I also want to pay a visit it the Counselor and say hello to my old crewmate Sal. I probably should try to catch up on my sleep but I am still to busy for that luxury.

Corbin Out.
