| My only concern was that it would be visible enough for people to not get confused as to where to go for canon info. If it's small and off to the side...they might miss it. Though I guess the links in the text could help too. Some of those links (though they all say "Memory Alpha") actually link to different pages on MA depending on the topic my page is covering, though.
