Esme grew up without a mother. Katherine Drake had been killed in a colony epidemic while on an archeology expedition. Her father is a college professor, having his Doctorate in Anthropology. She grew up on Earth, occasionally cumpaning her father on expeditions in the summer. She found early on that she enjoyed the sciences, especially exobiology. She attended college and recieved her PHD in Science then joined Starfleet. | |||

Esme was able to pull herself from the darkness and focused on her career. She is hoping for a deep space mission so she can be away from anything that reminds her of her past. Though she will miss her. | |||
