As with all Kobali, Vhysa'lia had a life before their current one. What they know, personally, is very little; they lost most of their memories of their kyn'steya (previous life) as they were gradually altered to be the Kobali they are today. <!-- add section about name meaning and how it relates to her death/how she was found by the Kobali + COME UP WITH HOW SHE DIED-->

What she ''does'' know is that she originally was from the United Federation of Planets...

Vhysa'lia's parents <!-- come up with names and put them in later --> raised her according to Kobali tradition, and she still finds the time to send them the odd subspace recording, letting them know about her travels. As a kyn'cheya (newly reborn), she found herself drawn to genetics, and then later to helping other Kobali integrate into their society.

With her goal of reaching Earth to enlist in Starfleet, as a gesture of friendship between her world and the Federation, Vhysa'lia traveled aboard the {{USS|Kitty Hawk}} on the way to {{ma|Frontier Day}}.
