Personal History

Zahra is a space-bound woman, instilled with the desire to make the most of her life by her mother, a Moroccan delegate to the African Union. However, her grandmother, who is a much more devout neo-Muslim, views the loss of one daughter to the political arena a loss and has done her utmost to ensure that Zahra doesn't follow that path. However, Zahra is intent to go higher than her mother and represent Earth and the Federation itself as an ambassador, and so her time in Starfleet will, she hopes, lead down that path.
