Background
Born on Terra to a strict family, Alistair had always been pushed hard by his parents, particularly his father. After graduating from school, he entered Starfleet where he immediately rose to the top of his class. Fascinated by science, he started to focus on that, but certain facets of medicine grabbed his attention and he switched to that area of study.
Alistair graduated with honors and quickly began to rise in the ranks of Starfleet. During the Dominion war, he was the direct supervisor over and worked closely with Maiek Khev, though it was the Romulan who received the credit, and the blame, for developing the agent that wiped out the Jaborrhik. After the Federation condemned the act, Khev disappeared.
Before this event severed their ties, Chase had stolen some of Khev's research and developments and continued to work on them for his own personal purposes. Using the Federation to his advantage, he has continued to find ways of exacting control and exerting power.
Most recently, he has discovered how to create a mutant virus, one more deadly than that which was used against the Jaborrhik, so deadly it could wipe out entire solar systems. Unfortunately, such a weapon would be deadly to himself and his followers as well as anyone else. Attempts to develop a vaccine and cure failed until intel from his contacts who still worked with Khev informed him of a way.
