Zrack is the second son of the successful Ferengi armsdealer Knoz and his wife Azin. The family is well known on Ferenginar and some of the other part of the alpha and beta quadrant. The family favors the old traditions and have little regard for the changes that came with Grand Negus Rom. Zrack however was a strong supporter of the changes and his father therefore removed him from the family busniss and disinherited him. The only place left to go was Starfleet and start a career there and one day work his way back to Ferenginar.
