Personal History
Raised only by his mother, along with his two older brothers. Father left before he was born. Grew up very poor, moving about 12 times in his childhood. Was chosen after secondary school for a scholarship which eventually paved the way for him to finally join Starfleet and become a doctor.
Psychological Profile
With no parental figures around the house most of the time, Mason had to fend for himself. He learned to cope with his problems by being tough, a tendency he still has to this day. Was envious of his friends during childhood who had a well adjusted family life, due to the chaos in his own home.
Specialties and Skills
Medicine is his specialty, but he can troubleshoot machinery if necessary. Knows people well, can detect subtle emotions in peoples faces, voices, etc. Can interact and communicate with others well if need be, but often simply stays to himself.
