LOA listings
Hi there! Saw that you added a LOA listing for the Atlantis Master Crew List. The Template:Roster actually also supports LOA listings. Simply add LOA before the officer listing and the person will become a LOA listing with a darker background. Put these LOA officers under a new division labeled LOA.:

When the officer returns, simply remove LOA before their rank and put them back up in the division (command, medical, science, etc) that they belong. You can also change their assignment posting to instead a note of when their LOA began as seen above. More instructions on how to use Template:Roster are available here. –Rich(talk page) aka Lt.Cmdr.
