The USS Cutlass (NX-84700) was the prototype vessel of the Cutlass class carriers designed by Starfleet at their Utopia Planitia facility, to help counter the Jem'Hadar fighters. Production was completed in 2376, after the Dominion War was over. Even so, the Cutlass was run through its shakedown cruise, the bugs worked out, and system refits done. It has never seen any action, nor been on an actual mission. It remains in the Sol system, as a test-bed vessel.
