As the only Gideon officer on the Tiger, and possibly one of only a handful on active duty in the Federation, Dr. Sidon felt oddly at home. It was more of the medical piece, because of his world’s history with sterilization and want of a “germ-free” civilization, but that led to overpopulation and assorted other obstacles. His parents, tired of the tug and pull, relocated to a lunar colony when he was a small boy, then later Earth, but they held to their beliefs and culture. Sidon became interested in medicine because of his people’s history. He was a good student, excelling and eventually working on various starships prior to graduating and being assigned to the USS Tiger for his first official posting.

There was a bit of an arrogant air about him, though, that rubbed some of his coworkers the wrong way. He was egocentric and pompous, a jerk sometimes, but he wasn’t so on purpose. He was just dry, answered questions with unbridled sarcasm at times. He was confident, yes, and that confidence came across that way sometimes. It didn’t really matter to him, though, as he did his job well and people were entitled to how they felt.

History

Dr. Sidon felt oddly at home in the Federation, despite few Gideon officers presently serve.
