• Bishop, Alexander (Conflicting) Saavei finds the Doctor of the Doyle extremely cold, even in Vulcan standards. His speech and mannerisms are contrary to what someone who holds an entire ship in their care. While working with him during the harrowing time on Pariah, Saavei has already made judgement on the human; she does not respect him at all.

Saavei is like many other vulcans described through the years; stoic, blunt, no nonsense, and seemingly judgemental (in regards to humans). Many in Starfleet Academy found her hard to approach, and those who have jumped that hurdle find her an intelligent (though quiet) woman.

• Xenobiology - it describes novel biological systems and biochemistries that differ from the canonical DNA-RNA-20 amino acid system, and it explores nucleic acid analogues, termed Xeno Nucleic Acid (XNA) as information carriers. It also focuses on an expanded genetic code and the incorporation of non-proteinogenic amino acids into proteins.
• Medical Genetics - is the specialty of medicine that involves the diagnosis and management of hereditary disorders.
• Infectious Disease - the study of disorders caused by organisms — such as bacteria, viruses, fungi or parasites.
• Osteology - a detailed study of the structure of bones, skeletal elements, teeth, microbone morphology, function, disease, pathology, the process of ossification (from cartilaginous molds), the resistance and hardness of bones (biophysics), etc. often used by scientists with identification of vertebrate remains with regard to age, death, sex, growth, and development and can be used in a biocultural context.

Chronological History

• 2350 - Saavei was born T'scen R'aigas Saavei in Vulcana Regar on Vulcan
  • The only child to Sturon and T'Pak, Saavei lived a comfortable, though slightly sheltered, childhood. She did not have many friends, but those few she had, she kept close to her (even up to the present day)
• 2364 - 2385 : Saavei was apprenticed and worked at the Vulcan House of Merchants with her father
  • Sturon was one of the leading directors at the House of Merchants. On Vulcan, theft and dishonesty were two things that did not happen within the merchants guild (even with a Ferengi working there), but it was more common once the goods were shipped from Vulcana Regar. Saavei helped her father for most of her young life in making sure records were kept up to date, credentials were correct, and assisted in holding meetings and arranging parties (as somber and 'boring' as a vulcan can make them) at her house.
• 2385 - 2387 : Unknown happenings in Saavei's life (she refuses to speak about it)
  • Much is unknown during these two years of Saavei's life. She never brings it up, even to her close friends and family. There have been rumors of a 'falling out' between her and her father, but Saavei won't confirm or deny them.
• 2387 - Saavei joins Starfleet
  • One of four vulcans accepted into the academy, Saavei struggled through her classes. Many found that strange - "She's a vulcan, these things should come easily!" - and it was with constant studying and pure determination to not quit that helped her graduate. Saavei focused on the sciences and engineering, and felt comfortable with a phaser (getting into the top three on her exams).
• 2391 - Saavei enter 'cadet cruise' stage
