Niastrave was born on star date 237009.13 on Betazed. Three weeks after her brother, Igrum, was born (237310.23), Nia and her family moved to Antosia. Shortly after returning to Antosia, Nia began taking dance lessons and quickly excelled. Everyone thought she would go on to dance professionally like her mother but despite her love for dance she had a secret passion for the stars and adventure. So when she was 18 years old, Nia went to Starfleet Academy where she majored in tactical and minored in helm and navigation.
