Marcus Dickens was born in DS4 where their parents moved after their marriage. His father, Sheldar Dickens, was one of the Angosian modified soldiers of the Tarsian wars, that having no one waiting him in Angosia, went to live with Marthia Collidan, the Counselour of Starship USS Tarradellas that went to Angosia to look the advances in the integration of the soldiers after the riot that the Enterprise-D achieved to stop.

Sheldar found himself treated with respect and no fear by Marthia and both became in love in a few weeks. The wish of Sheldar to leave a planet that didn't trust him and their mutual feelings made him request the captain of the Tarradellas to leave Angosia with them and Marthia interceded for him with the result of the addition of Sheldar to the ship. In a year both married and have Marcus while on DS4 where Marthia requested the transfer.

Few years later, Sheldar was working as enlisted on the starbase and went to help a ship badly damaged due a space distortion and having problems to arrive DS4 and was radiation poisoned when suddenly a plasma burst broke a recipient with a material that reacted with the plasma and emmited a lethal radiation. The treatments didn't made effect and Sheldar died despite his capability to resist more radiation as the level he get was eight time the lethal dosis for a human.

Marcus and Marthia moved to Betazed to have more peace and there Marcus was teached about the betazoid abilities that he seemed to start experiencing. He didn't mastered the powers as the other betazoids, but his potential still has to be known as well as his DNA will develop the traits of his father. Meanwhile he finished his primary and secondary studies on Betazed and became more interested in sciences, but found that his father heritage called him to leave a peaceful place like Betazed and that the Starfleet was a unique oportunity to learn more about universe. After a few months of dicussion with his mother that wished Marcus to be safe of what happened to his father, he applied to the Starfleet academy.

  • 2378: Applied to Starfleet
  • Notes: He liked to feel the nature, horse riding, participate in holo-novels and music. Also he had preference on Betazoids due his father history and his own living on Betazed.

He had been a normal officer, but after the test mission of the Iconian Technology that ended with him and the crew on planet Ambrosia, he began to show slight changes on his personality. When he was transferred to the Tiger, on the next mission Marcus received a hit in the head when the ship rocked violently and was unconscious. There, Lt. Satscher, the current CMO, noticed that something wasin dickens mind, aside from himself. She then confessed him that she's in love with him and Dickens tell her that he's too feeling attracted by her. They've kept that in private up to this date.

Stardate 2387:

After some time of separations and rejoinings they finally made up their minds and Vojana decided to ask him to marry, thing that he accepted and did in a leave following Vojana's old traditions. Currently Marcus Dickens and Vojana Minerva Satscher Dickens, share their marriage on board the USS CHALLENGER-A where Marcus works as Chief Science Officer with the rank of Lieutenant Commander.

Stardate 2388: After the decomision of the Challenger Marcus was posted on the starship USS Aurora as First Officer, finding that there was his old former Science Chief, T'Lea. In that ship they fought the campaign to allow Bajor becoming member of the Federation and discovered a subspace distortion that linked with the other side fo the Romulan Empire about 750 LY away from Federation space. They nicknamed it the Rabbit hole. After two successful missions, the Aurora was called back to Mars space docks and the Aurora crew was transferred to the new Luna Class starship USS Avandar

Stardate 2389: With the new ship the Avandar found itself investigating a strange signal that came from an unknown planet. Suddenly the ship began to loose power and fall into a planet where the Avandar was rendered practically unrecoverable, with one nacelle lost on the impact, multiple structural damaga, dead and wounded. If that wasn't enough, they discovered that the planet was inhabited by a primitive race that noticed the impact and some of them moved to check what has fallen from the skies. With the captain blind from the impact, the crew began to work on building a settlement, trying to maintain the prime directive. But that wasn't exactly possible when someone began to challenge the captain's decisions and wanted to take control of the situation. The fact was that a first confrontation with the natives was unavoidable. Lots of things happened later, but the most relevas was that the crew spent ten years living in that planet, the crew split between those that remained loyal to the captain and those that accepted the officer that wanted to do anything necessary to escape the planet. The final result of that situation can be found Here.

Stardate 2390: This year was a strange one, first for the missions they were into, including meeting some Alr'n rogues that boarded the ship and stole some items, they discovered planet Sallin, a planet devoted to trade and commerce, without the greed of the Ferengi. By the middle of the year, they participated in the Klingon invasion task force that included fighting a K'Tanco class vessel from the Klingon empire and dealing with Iconian gateway that brought him and a few more officers to the Breen homeworld where they were hunted and finally rescued thanks to the hard work of the Avandar crew. All those issues brought tension to his relationship with his wife that demanded of him to either ask for a transfer to Earth or another planet near the core of the Federation or that he resigns his commission as she's tired of not knowing if he'll come back from any mission. He evaluated the situation and was considering leaving starfleet to be with Vojana in a quite place. When they were moving towards Sallin to have some rest, a strange space creature (Dream-Star-Echo) attached itself to the warp core and when the crew tried to cut the energy supply, it defended by bringing part of the crew in a kind of dream realm, brought by the innocent mind of captain Vetri's daughter, T'Sara. After some time, the creature sensed that those in that realm and T'Sara herself were in danger and left the ship to a destination unknown. The crew recovered without much problem, except for T'Lea that hit her head when fell in the dream state and had suffered some memory loss. After that, the Avandar crew received orders to transfer to different ships as the Avandar was recalled to serve as test bed for new technology. Marcus, along with Anora Manar were transfered to the USS DISCOVERY-C.

Stardate 2391: After his arrival to the Discovery-C he found himself that the crew wasn't there but on the USS ODISSEY, chasing the ex-captain Xan Hebron and ex-captain Nekkar on board the USS CONSTITUTION. After a rough battle where they managed to disable the CONSTITUTION, Captin Waltas confronted Nekkar personally and managed to subdue him and contain the Virus. However the victory came with a prize and captain Waltas was forced to resign and retired to his home planet Ba'Ku and the Discovery was decommissioned. Marcus was then assigned to the USS ATLANTIS, his former ship. There they were assigned to explore the Jenatris cloud and their first mission was to escort a Grenushi Ambassador to Uzoka with a mysterious gift.
