Character History

Pherix Khass was born to a family of Caitian artists and musicians. Like his brothers and sisters he intended to follow in the steps of his parents, but as he was growing older he found himself strangely attracted to all kinds of conflicts - from brawls on the streets of his native city to intense intrigue of the world of politics. Maybe serenity and sheltered life at home created some sort of vacuum in him, but he found clashes of interest deeply fascinating. Excelling in debates at school and making himself famous within student community by recklessly going as a reporter to every scene of conflict on his native planet (those, admittedly, being very few and far between) he was eventually noticed by a young professor of the Institute of Political Sciences. Sensing the youngsters insatiable interest in politics his mentor advised him to apply to the Starfleet Academy. The Galaxy could provide young Pherix with much more intrigue. Six years later he there he was - entering the diplomatic duty on the newly commissioned USS Vigilant.
