After the Klingons discovered this world they contacted the natives. Attempts were made to turn the native population into an effective work force. It was soon determined that they would be useless. Their religion with all it's strange rules, customs and practices made it impossible. Regardless of age or sex, any action that threatened their religious beliefs instantly brought out the knives.

The Kan'da'har are a strange race. They seem to be 100% stagnant race with no changes being made in their society. Even with their contact with the Klingon race and exposure to off world items and technology they have not changed. Their religion will not allow them to buy or use anything not made by members of their own race. In fact if anyone is found with an off world item they are brought before a religious court. The usual result is death by stoneing.


Documents copied and translated by the Klingon high command confirm that their has been no major and very few minor changes in their society in over 500 years.

They fight mainly useing edged weapons but do have single shot rifles which are effective at supriseingly long ranges. All these weapons are incredible works of art with lots of time spent on detail and artful details.

Their is a very large native population on the planet. About 67 million. The natives are divided into 3 major tribal groups that have been waring with each other for hundreds of years. These natives are from a pre warp level of technology.

They call them selves the Sons of the Qu'Ran. Religion is the major motivating factor in their day to day lives. It is also the basis for their centuries long warfare with the other tribes. Each tribe interpits their religion in a slightly different manner, a manner the other 2 tribes consider unacceptable. These differences are grounds for violent and deadly outbursts.
