Thin for his height, very strong, he wears a starfleet designed environmental or encounter suit at all times when anywhere apart from his from specialized quarters (as the Breen require sub-zero temperatures). It is impossible to see Ka'el's facial features, which can make him look quite daunting.
Personality
He is cunning and devious with no sincere sense of loyalty towards anyone, Towards the rest of the crew he appears standoffish and short, bearing a command role well. He is most valued as a friend, and a very dangerous opponent. Capable of being friendly and trusting with the crew, if he has got to know them.

Personal History
When discovered aboard the dead Freighter he was transferred to modified Quarters aboard the USS Sonnetti. He was then transferred to Starfleet Diplomatic core, but the Breen authorities wanted nothing to do with him so he was transferred to the Starfleet command medical division where his biology was studied. After this initial period he was moved to a foster family with routine check-ups by Starfleet, while Starfleet provided a custom built Encounter suit to fulfill all of his needs. Ka'el was taught how to perform routine maintenance on his suit, this is where his eye for engineering arose from.
His parents taught him almost everything including several Japanese martial art forms and how to use the much feared, and much outdated Samurai Sword, but as Tikara said "It's bound to help you out sometime", Ka'el's Sword is made of Tritanium, and is hung up inside his quarters.

- 237208.04 He finished his Degree in the Science's at Oxford University soon after he left to join Starfleet.
- 237508.04 He Graduated and was posted aboard the USS Ranger as science officer and Wing Commander of the fighter squadron
