Groen Klei

An inhabited pre-warp planet located in the furthest regions of Igloo Cluster near the Gorn Confederacy border, currently at a 19th Century technology level. The Groen System skirts the edges of Constellationite space.

• DS17 established an observation probe which was originally supposed to lead to an anthropological observation post on the planet. The probe decended into a decayed orbit (unestablished whether it was a fault in angle trajectory or if a Gorn or Constellationite ship shot it down).

• The USS Independence was dispatched to retrieve the downed probe where it discovered an FTU ship in the vicinity of the planet, the FTS Marauder.
