The FTS Serapis is a FTU ship commanded by Richard Pearson, a human decendant of the Captain of the HMS Serapis, the ship captured by John Paul Jones in the late 1700s on Earth. This ship was attacked and nearly destroyed just before the beginning of the Gorn War in the summer of ****. It was rescued by the USS Achilles, who destroyed the Gorn ship and partially contributed to the outbreak of the war. The ship managed to limp back to the FTU base at [[Asterospolis]], where she was extensively refit.
