History
Dantin was born on Orion, the Homeworld for the Orion people. He had a rough upbringing and lost both his parents at the age of 8 to a mining accident. He had no one else that he knew of, and was forced to grow up and fend for himself.
He did quite well for the most part. Stealing food when he could, money if possible. At the age of 12, Dantin joined the Orion Syndicate as a gopher, or messenger boy/Courier. He worked for the Syndicate for the next 6 years, until he was caught on Praxis 6, a mining colony corrupted by the Orion Syndicate, but later liberated by the Federation.
The Federation sent Dantin back to Earth for incarceration. Once on Earth, Dantin was given the oppurtunity to make good on his Crimes, and do good for himself and society at large.
Under the direction of the Federation, and assigned Case workers, Dantin entered Medical school, with the intent on becoming a nurse. After a few years, though, he changed course and went on to become a doctor. Working overall in the civilian sector was fine for Dantin, but he missed traveling through space on ships, and thought about it, and after consulting with his case workers, was allowed by the Judiciary to Apply and Join Starfleet. He was accepted and immediately started training....
